A 27-year old man from Rutherglen in Scotland has been jailed for five years after he was convicted for a horrific road rage attack.

Brian Crossan attacked the driver of a car that was involved in a collision with his car, leaving him with a fractured skull and lying bleeding in the street. The attack occurred after the accident that happened in Ferguslie Road in Paisley on the 2nd February 2012. Crossan was banned from driving a car for 12 months. The judge in the case, Sean Murphy QC said, "Regardless how this began, you struck Mr McHugh with a heavy object. Your reaction was excessive and the court has to impose a prison sentence."
