M20
The M20 is a motorway that runs through Kent in England. It was constructed between 1964 and 1975, and is approximately 75 miles long. The motorway runs from the Maidstone bypass to the Dover Eastern Docks.
In terms of its safety record, the M20 motorway has an above average SafetyScore. According to statistics prepared for the Alliance of British Drivers in 2018, the M20 had a SafetyScore of 1.47, making it one of the safest motorways in the UK with a lower accident rate than most of its neighbouring roads. The motorway has also seen the introduction of a number of safety initiatives, such as improved signage and the implementation of variable speed cameras, which have made it considerably safer over the past few years.
