The M898 motorway is a motorway in Scotland, located between Glasgow and Paisley. The motorway was constructed between 1991 and 1992, and opened fully in 1995.
Over the past 20 years, the M898 motorway has been fairly safe. According to the most recent statistics, there have been a total of 11 fatal and 176 serious injury collisions along the length of the motorway since 2001. Over the same period, there have also been 566 slight injury collisions.
In an effort to maintain high levels of safety and reduce the incidents of collisions, the Scottish Government has recently made a number of improvements to the motorway. These include improved lighting, resurfacing, increased signage, and safety cameras.
