M56
The M56 motorway in the UK was developed and opened in 1971, as part of the NWML (North West Motorway Link). It runs southeast from Warrington to Manchester, passing through Lymm and Stretford.
In terms of safety, recent statistics show that the safety record of the M56 is exceptionally good. Since 2010, accident rates have actually been decreasing, and figures for 2016 show that the number of incidents on the motorway was lower than any other motorway in the country.
