The M10 motorway is a 32.4 mile (52.2 km) long motorway in England, connecting junction 11 of the M25 motorway in Hertfordshire to the A1(M) south of Peterborough in Cambridgeshire. It is part of the unsigned Euroroute E15.
When opened in 1962, the M10 was the first motorway in the UK to feature a contraflow arrangement of lanes, allowing vehicles to travel in both directions on a single carriageway.
Since June 2017, the M10 has seen 463 collisions, resulting in 23 fatalities and 109 serious injuries. Also within the same period, there were 57 reported incidents involving animals.
