During the summer months, there tends to be a higher number of cars on the road due to tourists travelling to the south west of England for holidays. The traffic flow is generally good on the A3065, with cars able to travel at around 60 mph in most sections. There are some sections of single carriageway, where speed limits drop to 40 mph, but the overall journey time is generally good.
