The A114 is a major road in England located in Greater London. It runs from Barking in Barking and Dagenham in East London to Ponders End in Enfield. It was added to the London Trunk Road network in 1965 and provides the main route from East London to the North Circular.

The A114 is a busy road during peak times for both commuters and freight transport. There is a high level of traffic flow along this road as it helps to connect the two main areas of East London. It also serves to connect a number of major roads in Greater London including the A13, A406, A10, and M25.

Safety on the A114 is monitored and recorded by the Department for Transport’s Road Safety Framework. According to the latest statistics, there have been 45 reported road casualties along this route over the last three years between 2016 and 2018. 25 of these casualties were classified as severe with 20 being described as slight. The overall casualty rate per million vehicle kilometres over this period was 5.1, which is slightly lower than the national average of 5.5.

The A114 is an important route in East London, connecting a number of areas to each other and to the rest of Greater London. Whilst it is a busy road during peak hours, its overall safety record is comparable to that of other roads across the country.
