M180
The M180 motorway in the UK runs from the M18 motorway at J3 in North Lincolnshire to the A15 near Scunthorpe. It opened in October 1972 and was the first motorway in Lincolnshire. The motorway is 8 miles (13 km) long and includes two grade separated junctions: the Barrow Haven Interchange (J1) for Barton-upon-Humber and the Scunthorpe Interchange (J2) giving access to the town.
The M180 is patrolled by Highways England as part of its National Traffic Operation Centre and its Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency enforcement teams. Accident rates on the M180 are below the national average, with an average of one fatal, 9 serious and 33 slight collisions per year between 2011 and 2015. There were no fatal collisions in 2017.
